Our story
From idea to infrastructure.
SFCM began with a simple objective: create a structured trading system capable of reducing the emotional decisions that often affect discretionary traders.
Daniel Bertemes became interested in financial markets at the age of 15 and began investing and trading independently at 18. Early setbacks and the influence of emotion on trading decisions led to the idea of building a more systematic approach.
With an interest in programming, Daniel began developing his own automated trading system. After months of testing, failure, and refinement, the first functional version was completed and continuously improved through private use.
As interest in the system grew, the project developed into Silver Fir Capital Management, which launched publicly in April 2026.
November 2024
Research and development begins
The first structured research phase began with the objective of building a rules-based trading system that could reduce emotional decision-making.
2025
First operational system
After months of coding, testing, failure, and refinement, the first functional version of the automated trading infrastructure was completed.
Late 2025
Private testing and optimization
The system entered an extended private testing phase focused on execution quality, risk controls, reliability, and strategy refinement.
April 2026
Public company launch
Following increasing private demand, Silver Fir Capital Management officially launched its client offering.
Future
Technology and infrastructure expansion
SFCM continues to develop its trading infrastructure, execution technology, client tools, and systematic research capabilities.
