Our story
From idea to infrastructure.
SFCM began with a simple objective: create a structured trading system capable of reducing the emotional decisions that often affect discretionary traders.
Daniel Bertemes became interested in financial markets at the age of 15. By the age of 18, he had moved from observing the markets to investing and trading independently.
The early stages included substantial setbacks, inconsistent decisions, and the same emotional challenges experienced by many developing traders. These experiences created the motivation to build a system that could replace impulsive decisions with repeatable rules.
After reviewing the solutions available online, it became clear that few options provided the level of automation, control, and flexibility required. With a strong interest in programming, Daniel began building his own automated trading infrastructure.
Months of development followed. The first versions failed, required extensive revision, and revealed how complex reliable execution systems can be. After approximately five months, the first functional system was completed. It was not considered finished, but it demonstrated that the underlying concept could work.
Following a further period of private use, testing, and optimization, demand began to grow from others interested in accessing the infrastructure. Silver Fir Capital Management subsequently launched publicly in April 2026.

Research and development begins
The first structured research phase began with the objective of building a rules-based trading system that could reduce emotional decision-making.

First operational system
After months of coding, testing, failure, and refinement, the first functional version of the automated trading infrastructure was completed.

Private testing and optimization
The system entered an extended private testing phase focused on execution quality, risk controls, reliability, and strategy refinement.
April 2026
Public company launch
Following increasing private demand, Silver Fir Capital Management officially launched its client offering.
